Job Description

Responsibilities

Design and development: Creating detailed mechanical designs for components, machines, and systems using CAD software (Solidworks), considering factors like functionality, cost, and safety standards.

Prototyping and testing: Carrying out physical tests on new or competing products in cutting, grinding and drilling

Technical Direction: Setting technical standards, developing new products, making critical technical decisions, and ensuring projects align with best practice

Project Management: Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, identifying potential risks, and managing project scope.

Collaboration: Working closely with other departments like product management, design, and QA to ensure smooth project execution.

Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving complex technical challenges, leading troubleshooting efforts, and proposing innovative solutions.

Quality Assurance: Implementing quality control measures, reviewing code, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.

Documentation: Creating and Maintaining clear and concise technical documentation, including design documents, system specifications, and user guides.

Skills

Strong Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of relevant engineering principles, technologies, and tools within their field.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and ability to approach complex problems with a structured approach.

Project Management Skills: Understanding of project management methodologies and ability to manage project timelines and budgets.
