-
Can I use the DDM1 machine if the side handle is missing or broken?
-
No, the DDM1 machine should never be used without the side handle or if the side handle is damaged. The side handle give the resistance to the clutch and helps the clutch to engage if the side handle is missing or broken then the resisted force can never be reached and the clutch will not engage.

How do I correctly fit a side handle to the DDM1 drilling machine?
-
The side handle should be fitted on the DDM1 by locating the notches on the side handle and the notches on the DDM1 gearbox.
The notches should be fitted together and the thumb screw tightened. This can be done using a 22mm spanner to give a ¼ turn if needed.
-
I find the DDM3 clutch very stiff when handheld drilling?
-
The clutch in every DDM3 is set to accommodate handheld and rig-mounted drilling.
